Belmont is quickly becoming one of Southwest Calgary’s most amenity-rich communities. From award-winning playgrounds for children of all ages to two upcoming commercial developments featuring childcare, grocery stores, gas stations and more…everything your family needs will be just steps away.

Adding to the excitement, The City of Calgary has officially broken ground on a future fieldhouse and public library right in our own community. Located near the intersection of 210th Ave and Creekside Blvd SW, the facility is set to open in 2027 and will serve as a vibrant hub for recreation, learning and community connection.

The Belmont Fieldhouse will span approximately 118,000 sf and include a multi-sport artificial turf field, spectator viewing areas, dressing rooms, washrooms and administrative offices. Adjacent to it, the 10,000 sf public library will offer a welcoming space with a dedicated children’s area, open seating, collections shelving, public meeting rooms and an outdoor learning zone.

A new open air retail centre is opening in your community by Summer 2027!

The development, by Anthem Properties and Harbour Equity, will include 145,000 sf of retail space and will be anchored by a grocery store, drug store and liquor store. It will also include quick service and full service restaurants, personal services, anchored by a two level childcare building. Construction began in August 2025 and the centre will be located on the southwest end of the community off 210th Ave and Sheriff King Street.

This is the community’s second retail hub; Belmont Village by Luxuria Developments will be complete in 2026. Together, these two vibrant retail destinations will help create a more connected and convenient place for our residents to call home.
